SORRENTO SUNRISE
* 1 oz Lemoncello
* 2 oz Tequila
* 1 oz Grenadine
* 2 oz Orange Juice

Mix well, pour over ice and feel the warmth of a Sorrento sunrise on your face.
(Good with Vodka too)

The Bomb
1 part Sour apple schnapps
1 part Peach Schnapps
1 part banana liqueur
1 part pineapple juice
1 part lemon lime soda

Shake with ice and strain into a shot glass. It is best to make a large batch and pour into shot glasses due to the number of ingredients.

0.5 oz. Amaretto

Summer is keeping us busy, Rod is working way too hard and Chrystal can’ t get anything done while the kids are home. This episode includes a Midori Challenge, Chrystal burns the kids to a crisp, a family weekend trip to the cabin and the Spa People are disgruntled with a neighbour and the neighbourhood. Chrystal has an incident with the van, Rod goes to a paint ball stag and no summer is complete without a wedding. The Canadian segment includes three new words, a long standing Quebec law is about to be overturned and there is a foot update complete with a new song.

It’s a pre-Father’s Day episode and I forgot to ask “What is the one thing that Dad’s rate higher in than Mom’s?” Answer in Episode 26 or give us a call with what you think it is! There is a Daddy themed beverage, a comedy sketch and a song for those special Dad’s doing it all on their own. The kids have been sick but got creative while home from school, we have two new babies in the Spa home, Rod has a new GPS and the new van has been ordered. Chrystal faces further problems with the English language and Rod has been approached to sell spa products from overseas. The Vancouver Aquarium has a new baby beluga, The BC Government is giving all it’s residents $100 to help ease a new tax, Chrystal is disgusted over the actions of some stupid Alberta teens and Rod offers up dog training tips, compliments of a customer.

What can we say, the title pretty much sums it up. The Spaboy has a sore ass for reasons unknown and we are in renovation hell. It’s Spring, yet snowing, and Chrystal is up to her eyeballs in kid activities and is preparing for the Vancouver Sun Run. We do manage to move away from the status of Rod’s butt long enough to investigate the origins of the word Canuck and introduce a new segment to the show “Porta Party Chat.” The inaugural episode features Grass Management insight with our neighbour, “Lawnboy.” We also received lots of feedback from new listeners and old! Keep it coming guys, we always love to hear from you.

Welcome to the train wreck known as episode 20. The drink feature is the Mind Eraser and it definitely worked. Chrystal can’t stop saying a word that she knows she says too much and Rod heads off to tangents unknown! The vehicle update focuses on Chrystal this week, she is in kid activity hell and had a blast at the Foreigner concert. Rod has been upgrading his office and Vancouverites bid adieu to the Canucks this hockey season! The Reality TV update continues with great roving reporter comments and we share a new Canadian word.

The Mind Eraser
1 oz. vodka, 1 oz. coffee liqueur, soda water, lime wedge for garnish.

Fill a short cocktail glass with ice, pour the vodka and coffee liqueur over the ice and fill with soda water. Garnish with a lime wedge and serve with a straw.

When drunk properly the Mind Eraser creates a head rush similar to one you get when you’ve eaten ice cream too fast. The trick is to drink all of it through a straw in one shot. When you do this the carbonation gives you a quick head rush before the alcohol sets in to do it’s job.

The Redhead Nipple
1 oz. Vanilla Schnapps, 1 oz. Irish Cream
Pour Vanilla Schnapps into a shot glass and layer the Irish Cream on top. Bottoms Up!

Rubber Chicken Cocktail
1 1/2 cups cracked ice, 3 oz Rye Whiskey, 3 oz. Limeade, 3 oz. Ginger Ale
Shake all ingredients with ice except Ginger Ale. Strain into a tall glass with ice and add ginger ale. Would make a great summertime drink. Very refreshing!

Garburator truly is a Canadian word! Who knew? We sure didn’t! A very special Vancouver song and a St. Patrick’s Day shot starts the show off. Chrystal is preparing to take the kids away for Spring Break and Rod doesn’t have a lot to report except “Mike’s baaack” and life goes on after Texas Hold’Em. It appears the American casinos don’t want Chrystal’s money, the Spa People are not going to get a long awaited Christmas present and Chrystal is appalled at the response time to an injury. A loop hole allows Canadian kids to bring tobacco across the border and apparently BC is the international hub for fake I.D. Things wind up with the much loved/hated reality TV segment.

Not sure what we were doing with the microphones this week but the sound quality isn’t the best. Our sincerest apologies; we will figure it out and hope to have if fixed next time around. The Spa People are a little quieter this week, Rod is cranky and Chrystal feels that the entire family requires an attitude adjustment. We ‘ve found a new drink source, have been looking for a decent drywaller and Chrystal helped out the people at Blubrry. Rod tagged the show under a porn listing and is dreading being a one man operation. Canadian news includes info on Anti Bullying Day, caffeine in soda regulations and how many rats can we legally have in our home? Chrystal shares insight into three of her favourite reality shows and we wind things up with a little bit of feedback!

Chrystal is pushing the buttons this week, literally, so things are not as smooth in the audio department but, hopefully it can only get better from here! This weeks shot focuses on breasts which makes the Spa Boy very happy. Who knew that Clamato Juice would generate so much feedback and various folks assist Chrystal with her internet paranoia. Rod continues to rack up hours on Call of Duty and yet another vehicle breakdown. Chrystal has been very, very busy with the school dance and making lots of Jello shots! Canada discussions include a field trip to Chinatown, what does the term “Canadian” mean in the states and what the heck are 222′s? Chrystal’s obsession with reality TV, chocolate covered garlic and a nomination for an official Life of Spaguyswife band bring the show to a close!

The Bailey’s is poured off the back of a bar spoon so it “floats” on top of the schnapps in a shot glass. The Buttery Nipple is one part Butterscotch Schnapps and one part Irish Cream. #012 Call of Duty Widow

Rod is obsessed with the Call of Duty game, is coping with a missing staff member and tons of snow. This weeks shooter leaves a lot to be desired and Chrystal is making attempts to offset aging, especially after being called “old”. Problems with stuff seems to be the theme with a non functioning phone, a broken DVR and the van continues to be a never ending money pit. A few new listeners chime in and finally, some feedback from the guy with the big, um….TV, who, by the way, is hosting Super Bowl. There’s some nutcracking going on with this weeks drink feature. Our begging in the last episode brought results and the Spa folks Christmas was complete! A big thank you to Fabulous Frank and Shelly for the bumper and blooper! We have a live audience and the spa kids provide their own Christmas recap. Cooking issues continue to plague Chrystal and we suggest tips on how to survive if you have no one to kiss on New Years Eve.

Sorry folks, we didn’t mean it to be such a long one! Comments made on the last show prompted “Sex on the Beach” recipes to come our way which resulted in the Spa People making up a batch!
