    I don’t own a pool so I can’t comment first-hand on the fresh water vs. salt water maintenance issues. It does make sense that salt water is more work since salts are corrosive.

    Maybe the pool industry chemists are looking for a way to incorporate corrosion inhibitors into the salt water pool.
